Why Uruguay?

Uruguay is situated between Brazil and Argentina, it has the lowest level of poverty in Latin America, the highest life expectancy and the second lowest level of corruption. The economy is based on agriculture, livestock and mining, as well as hydropower production, IT services and tourism development.

Due to its high literacy rate (98%), its economic, social and political stability, as well as its democratic tradition, its high level of security and its outstanding natural beauty, Uruguay is recognized as a great place to live and as a strategic gateway for international companies doing business in the Latin American region.

Time zone

Time difference is non existent, so if you need anything just pick up the phone and dial, no need to think that you're waking someone up at 3 am with your call.

The GMT-3 time zone means that Uruguay is one hour ahead of New York and four ahead of San Francisco.

Sounds good, but what about technology?

Uruguay is one of the more developed countries in telecommunications and one of the top countries in technology services exports in South America.

According to a study from Solar-ICT, we have 303 technology firms that export about 40% of their production and we have a stable Government that fosters innovation, embraces tech and maintains a disciplined approach to taxes and corporate law in the tech sector.
